Venice Auto Repair

Having struck out with my mechanic and the Ford dealer in Nokomis, a service tech at Matthew Currie Ford suggested I visit American Import Auto in Venice. Granted, my pickup is 22 years old and parts are hard to find, but my four wheel drive hasn't worked for at least three years. I wanted it to function, so American Import said they could fix it. I was able to make an appointment the days after my initial inquiry and two days later, the four wheel drive in my truck was up and running. I'm tickled to day the least. So now, as long as I keep this truck, American will be my new mechanic. Mike and Jesse were great to deal with!

This was our first experience with American Import Auto. We were unhappy with the VW dealer. I read the reviews online and was impressed. They lived up to the great reviews. The location is easy to get to, the people are great and their work is excellent.

My wife says it is like having a brand new car but spending $2700 I would have expected the windshield washer fluid to have been filled.

Great people to deal with! They take of your car, give you updates when it is there. I will continue to service my cars with them. There spot on.

Recently took my 2001 Mercedes to American Import Auto. It's an SLK320 and only has 34,000 miles on it. Obviously it is not driven regularly. Asked them to go over it thoroughly and tell me what needed repaired. In two day I received an email listing 42 things that were in good shape and 9 items that needed repairs. Email also had 10 pages of each item with numerous pictures. Called them and we discussed each and I told them to do the repairs. Repairs done in 7 days. (Some parts needed to be ordered.) Extremely happy with all repairs. I highly recommend them and will continue to be a customer.

Great experience with this repair shop! Took our Acura RDX in for AC repair and they took the time and effort to fix the no working fan and rechecked. Discovered compressor clutch wasn’t working correctly, replicating our issue. Completed job before promised. Surpassed our expectations. Mike and staff did a fantastic job!
